ACC > Any other conference (w/ poll)

The Big Twelve used to be the Conference in Football... Its shifting now...

I dunno about basketball... Yeah, they have UNC/Duke/Maryland etc, but the other conferences (SEC, Big 12) have been moving forward in the last few years.

big 10 has prolly one of the best football programs in the country. UM, OSU, PU, wisconsin, iowa. they are pretty loaded.

not that loaded in basketball though.

ACC is the best basketball conference on average, though Kentucky and Miss State should be contenders this year.
ACC lags behind SEC and Big XII in football in my opinion.

SEC is the best conference from top to bottom in football. SEC regulary has 7-8 teams in bowl games.

You take UNC and Duke away from the ACC in football and all the remaining teams could be bowl worthy

you have two good football teams now so that FSU doesn't get an automatic bid to a BCS game and you suddenly think you're the sh!t?

Big East for basketball? Last two national champs, and will become one hell of a conference adding Louisville/Cincinatti/Marquette/ etc. Football is really bad though, like worse than the Mountain West or WAC level.

The Big East should be THE premier basketball conference this year. Not only does it have the last 2 national champions, but the conference has added perennial top 25 teams in Louisville and Cincinnati and solid programs in Marquette and DePaul this year. I don't see any other conference coming close to what the Big East has to offer this year in terms of top-flight competition.

Football on the other hand will probably be pretty woeful. Syracuse is having a down year (as they have had the past couple of years) which leaves WVA and Pitt as the only teams of merit in the conference for football.

ACC is definitely the best in basketball IMO.
Duke, Maryland, Wake Forest, UNC, NC State, Georgia Tech, FSU?
How do you argue with a conference that is that stacked?
