I just put together a p4t533c in a server case with innovatech water cooler, Kingston pc1066 mem-2 128meg sticks, adaptec 160mb/sec
comtroller and matching HD, asus GF4 vid and thats all so far.
HD works fine in other computer, so did Vid card.
I can run FSB to 138 but that all, will not post anyfurther. Where do
I find the pci dividers at on this board. Can U help with a good set up.
My old 2 ghz 423 chip on asus brd goes 2.3 no problem.

When you change the clock speed in bios, scroll down the list of options for settings of fsb versus pci, I believe there are 2 options.

hey man, nice rig 🙂

the P4T533-c has automatic PCI dividers you cant set them manually, Default PCI clock is 33mhz, and the asus board automatically sets the optimal divider to keep PCI closest to spec, its dead on at 100 and 133, but beyond 133 you are going out of spec, ive found my sweet spot to be at 145mhz fsb, 148 is a little flaky and 150 wont post at all. I'm using Kingston 1066-32 modules (2x128MB). You will also notice that there are some settings that have different PCI speeds. Make sure you have the lowest PCI possible, this keep stability at a maximum. Also feel free to bump the voltage up if you need to (which i doubt you will with that CPU, mine is running 145fsb at default voltage)

Hopefully this helps a bit.

Also DONT INSTALL THE CMI8738 drivers off the CD they are for a different motherboard, this is what was causing my problems in the thread i posted earlier, its an AC97 chip, not Cmedia, for some reason Asus felt the need to put both drivers on the CD 🙁 i think the Cmedia chip is on the P4T533 not the P4T533-C.
