Yeah, Conservative Powerhouse Texas has about 25% of its population uninsured, more than twice that of Liberal Paradise California.

I am very confident that number is highly correlated with a state's illegal immigrant population.

FWIW, CA has about 10 million people on some form of Medi-Cal, or ~30% of the population. Also has a 25% poverty rate, on of the highest in the country.
