AC97 onboard sound question

Hey all, I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but here it goes. I've got an MSI K7T board with onboard sound (duh). I have the latest sound drivers installed and the sound seems to have clicks and I guess 'sound spikes' might describe them better. It's really annoying when I'm listening to mp3s, playing video games, or watching DVDs. It seems like it's triggered more by lower frequencies, but I'm not totally sure. I just know it annoys me. 😛 Are there any fixes for this? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
