AC110v or AC220V

Sure seems like a newbie question I'm sure but how do I know which voltage to select on the back of my PS. I've gotta MSI K8N Neo Platinum with a 3500+. It does not explain the difference between these voltages in the manual.

Unless I've GRAVELY mistaken, the 110V is the American standard and 220V is the European standard. I'm assuming you live in America, so 110V is what you want.

Select 110V if you live in America or anywhere else where there's 110V AC power; 220V if you live where that's the standard. You don't want to find out what happens if you do this incorrectly.

i do live in america and until now I've been oblivious to this standard. Guess it's like NTSC and PAL. I think i'll get a confirmation from someone else before I continue but thanks alot.

How's about you don't touch anything on that PSU and save your own system from frying due to your curiosity. Question such as this one could have easily been answer with a quick google. Unlike NTSC and PAL, changing the voltage from 110V to 220V will have very unpleasant consequences.

well i did google it and found nothing but advertisements but thanks for your holier than thou attitude. I bet you only watch Foreign Films.

Thanks to the others for the help.

110V is the industry standard (Actually 120V) for AC electricity in the USA (i.e. That's what is at your wall plug). Europe & other parts of the world use 230V. I actually think it would be worse to plug a 110V PSU into a 230V outlet. Poof.
