AC Router Recommendation

I'm gonna be upgrading from my old Netgear n router to an ac router. I read good reviews on the following :

Netgear R7000 Nighthawk
Asus RT-AC68
Linksys 1900 ACS

The reason im upgrading is to get better range in a spot that's 50 feet away on same level. They all got great reviews but wondered what you guys thought

You should read this thread about the R8000. If you are comfortable flashing third party firmware then by all means the R7000 is a good choice, otherwise you may want to avoid the Netgear Nighthawk models.

Thanks....after reading CNET's test results on both bands, looks like the Asus seems to be the clear winner. I'm gonna pick it up this friday and I'll post my results.

I just picked up the TP Link Archer C8 recently and it has been a really good performer. Through many walls (including a bathroom) at maybe 35ft I still get 80mbps down over wireless of my 100mbps internet.

I've used the AC-68 in quite a few houses with great results. Much better reach and speed than anything else tried.

For what it's worth, sometimes the white one is $10+ cheaper on Amazon due to stock, etc.
