AC in car today was wacky

so im driving to work today and I turn the AC on, and it starts spewing cold air as normal, but, I could "see" the cold air. Like, when you can see your breath on a cold day. I turned it off right away and did not turn it back on....WTF?

Thats probably the Freon escaping from your A/C unit. Same thing happend when my leaked. You're A/C won't be working so well pretty soon. you might want to check the Hi and Low caps to make sure they are on tight.

Could be the compressor starting to fail. Mine was serviced last year and the mechanic said my compressor may last a week may last another year. Well, it's been another year and I see that mist coming out now all of the time. It's like it's just barely able to work and is putting out cool air that's still rather humid. It doesn't cool as well as it used to.

I hope its ok, mine just started to do the exact same thing. I live in NC, which is pretty humid in the summer.

The drain tube in your airbox may be plugged, this tube let's the condensation to drain out during normal operation, if the tube is plugged, the condensation will build up causing your symptoms.

I would guess that it is very humid there. What happens is that cold air cannot hold as much moisture in a gaseous state as warm air. Therefore, when the air becomes cold, the moisture condenses and starts to become a liquid. You are basically making clouds!
