AC Adapter

I have a keyboard (musical) that needs an 9v 850mAmp adapter, and I have a 9v 1Amp adapter. I was wondering if using this would trash the keyboard, or if the 1Amp is just the maximum you can run on it. Any help would be nice.

the voltage is all that matters.

That the one you have is rated at 150 mor milliamps only means that it is capable of producing that extra power if needed. As long as its rated current isn't less than you need, it will work fine.
