Abused Machines

Any one have any literature they use for convincing workplaces/ universitys to run RC5? My school has 10 G4 450s which are in a language lab, they are just abused. People set the monitors to b&w, reduce monitor rez to 640x480 etc. and I would love to assimilate them. 39.1mkeys could be mine *evil grin*

Try dennilfloss? I'm not sure if his recruiting pitch is the type of literature you are looking for, but his presentation to recruits has been wildly succesful.

You could try writing an essay on distributed computing. Use Dnet, the front page Article and other DC projects as information sources.

Show pictures of Beowulf clusters and crackracks.

After teacher comes round from fainting spell after receiving student initiated work, tell them that you'd like to participate in such a project and you intend publishing the results as an addendum to the essay at the end of the year.

Get an email addy for the school machines and retire it into yours at dnet. Dump the school machines through Mikas and you can track their progress through the TA stats.
