Cool, so Rummy and Cheney are going to be prosecuted?

Ask your savior, isnt it up to him?

I don't have any "savior." I'm an atheist. I'll leave it to the laws of man, and in particular, to the laws of the United States of America and international laws against torture to deal with the Bushwhacko criminals who established authorized, ordered and condoned the abuse at Abu Gharib, Guantanamo and elsewhere.

Odd. UCguy was asking Phokus, yet you jumped in on the defensive? Very weird, indeed.

Is Harvey "Phokus"? It would make a lot of sense...

The former general never actually saw the photos in question at the moment? How odd...

General Denies Seeing Photos Sought In Suit

A retired U.S. general denied that he had seen the pictures of Iraqi prisoners being abused that President Obama is seeking to keep secret.

On Thursday, the Daily Telegraph, a British newspaper, quoted retired Maj. Gen. Antonio M. Taguba as saying that the photos "show torture, abuse, rape and every indecency."

Taguba told Salon.com Friday that the Telegraph quoted him accurately but mischaracterized his comments. He said he was referring to different photos than the ones the American Civil Liberties Union was seeking to have released.

"The photographs in that lawsuit, I have not seen," he said.

Taguba led an investigation in 2004 into allegations of abuse at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison, including rape and sexual abuse.

The Telegraph's report drew swift condemnation from the Pentagon and the White House. Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman said the newspaper "completely mischaracterized the images. . . . None of the photos in question depict the images that are described in that article."

Whitman also said that the Telegraph had wrongly reported this month that some of the photographs had been aired on Australian television.

Salon.com, who was the first to publish the original Abu Ghraib abuse photos, has interviewed an official who has seen the 2,000 photos and he says they do NOT include sexual abuse.

Here is a link to the story.

This is good news for pretty much everyone - the prisoners, the US - but not for the reporters of the wrong information, if this is accurate.

Photos Show Rape of Iraqi Women by US Occupation Forces

Really now... aztlan.net.

All I see is three questionable photos and one previously released Abu Ghairab photo. I know this is an anonymous bulletin board, but come on. At least keep the debate on an intelligent level.

Explain to me why we aren't going after these soldiers? This is disgusting.

From the Telegraph article:

The latest photographs relate to 400 cases of alleged abuse between 2001 and 2005 in Abu Ghraib and six other prisons. Mr Obama said the individuals involved had been ?identified, and appropriate actions? taken.

They have been. Read your on article before making a fool of yourself.

Cool, so Rummy and Cheney are going to be prosecuted?

Ask your savior, isnt it up to him?

Karma's a bitch!
