According to the FAQ link I posted, if it tastes like crap, it isn't real absinth. Anyone want to pony up 300 dollars to try a bottle of the "Real" stuff?

What makes Absinthe, Absinthe, is the Absinthe 😉.

I haven't tried the stuff, but I don't really like any liquors/spirits....love beer though. I have tried quite a few from bottles with a dog with fire coming out his a$$ to $150 cognac's (which I still didn't like).

Your FAQ appears to be nothing more than a sales brochure for their Absinthe.

Real absinthe, filtered through wormwood, gives a unique drunk. But it's still just a drunk.

There's a bit of ritual to drinking it "properly" and I believe that contributes to the hallucinagenic effect some feel. Otherwise, it's more like a dreamstate than hallucinations.

Inferior absinthe is generally adulterated with copper, which produces the characteristic green colour.

it tastes a lot better if you pour it properly over a sugar cube through a slotted spoon (or at least add sugar) and add some water, it rids it of some of the bite
