ABS kicks on for no reason

If you take the hub off - you will be able to see where the wheel speed sensor for the abs connects inside against the stater for the wheel bearing -this is supposed to be a flat surface for the sensor to read as it rotates within range
Occasionally its not the sensor or the module or the disc or the pads 🙂
Occasionally the surround on the bearing where the senor reads gets a stone or damage or dent or dirt - and it can be as simple as a dent being read and juddering as you slow - judder or odd activation when slowing is usually a sensor failing - but it can also be where the sensor reads against is not flat any more

I have the problem that abs activates at 65k only whilst under throttle - no codes - but the car wont go over 65k without trying to slow down - this is proving more fun
as it does not take issue if the ABS is manually switched off - so its not anything else like box slowing the car down and activating the triangle warning light for the abs
So replacing the abs module seems the logical choice, there is no codes though
new hub bearing and more importantly the carrier for it where the sensor reads against, for the one sensor that was getting fluctuating readings whilst driving - fixed my judders, but not the slowing me down when I get to 65k issue

so any ideas on that one would be helpful before I buy an abs module ?

i know you're not going to answer me.

but have you had a scan tool hooked up and read the wheel speeds at each wheel?

could be your traction control thinking a wheel is slipping and slowing the engine down to compensate.
