About vista pub beta

It's stable enough for general use. Its definitely not as snappy as XP, but it has its moments where it can at least make me let out a tiny "wow." There are a few glitches, but nothing worth mentioning. Pretty user friendly, I think, more than XP...but it can be annoying, which you need to be somewhat good with computers to work around stuff (UAC...ugh).

Gaming = no.

Thankfully you can boot into XP or Vista easily.

Try it out

I've been using it daily since it came out as a public beta. I think it works as well and better than XP x64, it has better support than XP x64 (for me anyway). I did customize UAC with group policy editor and it hardly bothers me at all. It does take some getting used to and it was very slow from disk access' for a couple of days ( indexing files?), but since then I've had the sound driver lock up on me once ( reinstalled a newer driver version ) it runs really well for a beta2. I cannot wait for the final release.
