?? about upgrading RAM on Inspiron 8600

My 8600 has 512 RAM from Dell, I am assuming its 2x256 sticks. Do these sticks from the factory occupy the SoDIMM slots that are users accesible, or can I add two more sticks into these slots?

(If i was at home, I would just look, but i want to know now!!!)

You only have two slots total. One is probably under the keyboard, otherwise both will be under a slot on the bottom of the notebook. If it is under the keyboard, you just need a small philips & probly flat head screwdrivers.
Both will probly be occupied unless you paid more at purchase for 1x512.

not what i wanted to hear though. Was given 2 256 sticks at work, hoping that i would be able to stick them in and double my ram.....

too bad, so sad
