I dunno what the hell is doing it but my internet turns off then back on every 45seconds to a minute for no reason at all. I phoned my ISP and they blamed my modem... I bought the modem from them. They used to never hickup or whatever but now i cant even finish loading a map in BF2 before it cuts out. And the most annoying part is everytime i try to talk to someone on msn or xfire it cuts me off. Im honestly about 30 seconds from shooting someone. I need some help. Do i buy a new modem or kick my ISP in the nuts and change providers?

My modem is probably 4 years old. its a D-Link DSL-300l or i im not sure which.

Well, it could very well be the modem, just like they said. And since they never claimed to warranty that equipment (or if so, certainly not for 4 years), you should probably put the Uzi of Righteousness back in its holster. See if you can borrow a modem from a friend - most DSL modems should be compatible. If it works, then you know you need a new modem. If it doesn't, well then maybe you can push on your ISP a little harder to see if there's a problem on their end. But honestly, it sounds like a modem problem, just like they're saying...

Something similiar like this happened to me with my modem randomly dropping out when I was moving things at high speeds after they upgrade bandwidth. You might not be saturating your bandwidth but maybe your ISP upgraded their service and your modem isn't responding properly. Check out the modem.

well my max download speed is 3mbps and my max upload is 800kbps. I was downloading GTA San Andreas and Star Wars Republic Commando, but they werent going too fast so i know it wasnt a bandwidth overload. And also i turned them off when i went to play BF2 and it was still doing it.

If anything it shows the sad state that humanity has come to. When a joke like that can be reality, we find that humanity has sunk very very low. Who are we kidding? Do people actually think humanity is getting better? What a joke...

LOL!
This reminds me of a movie with Michael Douglas..."Falling down"
I can still see him in the hamburger joint with the uzi..
"I'M JUST STANDING UP FOR MY RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER!!"
just before he unloads on the menu cash registers.

and if you want to get the attention of the NSA...all you have to do is put "hot words" into the forum....like

IED , George W. Bush , Jihad , suicide bomber , AK-47 for sale - stuff like that.
