EDIT: i hope my os isnt corrupted...that means to do a repair i hafta drag out a floppy drive to install the sata drivers..damnit..but i'm kinda running out of options

well that was a no go as well...does anyone know if knoppix 3.7 has native cd or dvd burning support?

i have some stuff i want to back up before i undertake this...it seems like the drive works fine...just the mbr is hosed
