Most ppl suggest the Fujifilm F20 since I originally was only gonna spend $200 tops which I've seen the F20 on sale for around $155 shipped. But I was curious could I get a better camera for say $200-$250? I ain't into having control over alot of features I just want to be able to turn it on choose mode and take pics and them look good.

Fuji F## is a good camera to get. If you have more money, get the F30 instead of F20. (I'm a DSLR user, so I like the idea of a slightly bigger sensor in a point-and-shoot)
Still, a quick Froogle search shows the F20 around $200, only eBay is less than that.

Buydig is an authorized dealer of Fuji and has the F20 for about 150. F20

For about 200-250, you can get the F30 but then the F30 just adds more control which you don't car for. The Canon SD700is is a serious competitor to the F20/F30 for just regular point and shoot and it is better to some people and worst to others. Might wanna check that camera out to.

But bang for the buck definitely goes to the F20.

Panasonic DMC LZ-2 or LZ-3 are good. I think the LZ-3 is $200 at Target.

They're basically the same with the latter having auto focus assist light.
Durable screen. Rigid plastic over LCD.

6x zoom with image stabilzer (prevents blurring from shaky hands to a degree)

runs on two AA battery. Lasts way longer on rechargeable, but you can always use alkaline in a pinch and rechargeable AA and charger are dirt cheap.

Canon SD series are infamous for having a very fragile LCD screen and they require a lithium ion battery. Spare battery from eBay is junk and real stuff is like $55 and you can't run on standard disposable battery in a pinch.

Before buying any digital camera, be sure and check with the DP Reviews - Phil Askey's site. It is the best and most thorough around.
