I have created a partition for it already but the last time that I tried to install it the second two cds were corrupted or something. I tried anyways and all that came up on the screen was a bunch of lines and thats it..was it something i did??

If you are in the directory that contains the iso, just do the command above. If not, just a complete path name.
md5sum -c c:\path\to\foo.iso

Not sure it will work, but you can try it. ;)

i have burned cd1 of mandrake 10. The pc wont boot from it. If I click on the cd in windows, a window pops up allowing me to click on a install mandrake linux button. I do that and the computer restarts and goes straight back to windows

whats going on here?
