about to install 2.1 on my myTouch

live wallpapers are kind of cool. This might be worth going back to stock if/when 2.1 officially releases

I installed the 2.1 update for my Droid, and it's nothing earth-shattering. Not complaining though.

I have it installed on my Hero. I'm no sure what you came from(1.6?), but it is worlds better than 1.5. It has a couple issues but nothing that keeps it from being my daily OS.

Eh, not worth it if it isn't stable. Cyanogen is still the best bet for G1/myTouch.

The biggest upgrade to the actual operating system was 1.5. I don't know how many of you got the G1 at launch like I did....1.5 added SORELY needed features. 1.6 added a little, most of the changes were SDK-level, so it affects the 3rd party apps, still nice to have.

When Droid came out, 2.0 got a lot of press for being the "good" version of Droid. While it was nice...native Exchange support, facebook integration, multiple email accounts in one inbox were nice things, considering I already had Touchdown & the Facebook app itself does most of the Facebook integration, I didn't think it was that big a deal either.

Then 2.1 comes along...again I ask, what's the big deal? Live wallpapers are kinda cool, but nothing to write home about. The new launcher is slick, but it still hasn't found its way onto the Droid.

Long story short...a stable 1.6 ROM is better than a buggy 2.1.
