what exactly should I get? I was thinking the 15 inch.. since size isn't a *huge* issue. I'm going to be using final cut pro primarily.. along w/ photoshop.

Any recommendations on how much mem, cpu speed, etc?

Get the minimum RAM and buy extra from Crucial (1GB, ideally). I really don't think that the 1.67Ghz is worth the price increase unless you want the upgraded video card.

FYI, they have a 1.67Ghz 15" refurb for $1899. that's a pretty good price.

Funny, mine does plenty.

I have the 15" (best screen size imo, and I've worked on the 12" and 17" as well) 1.5ghz with 1gb ram, 128mb vid card etc. It's very nice, best computer I've ever owned. :)
