cant comment on sager but my friend has the asus he loves it. BUT i do not like it. The specs are nice but i do not like the quality of it. The screen doesn't look all that the webcam was lil more grainy the laptop feels like cheap plastic battery life is like less than an hour. This was comparing it to my dell xps. But if you want a super gaming computer than its definitely the bang for the buck.

I have just two questions.

1. Does the Asus G73SW have momentus XT hard drives? Bestbuy can't answer me.

2. How is sager? I heard alot of good about them. And as much as I loved my asus. I'm not brand blind.

1. The G73SW-A1 definitely comes with the hybrids (2x500GB). The G73SW-BST8 (Best Buy's own model?) looks like it has similar specs otherwise. A single-drive config it would be less cost-effective as there's only one such drive (the Seagate Constellation) on the market and it's at least as expensive as dual XTs. Of course, they could have opted for two cheaper 500GB drives. But why not go with the A1 version if you're unsure? It's currently cheaper on Amazon than its equivalent on Best Buy.

2. Sager uses Clevo barebones just like AVADirect and others. They are good quality machines. And the GTX 470M is considerably faster than the 460M - 288 CUDA cores instead of 192 in the 460M.

On this note the GTX 460m is in general around 10-20% slower in most benchmarks then the GTX 470m

Try these guys:

www.xoticpc.com

You can customize both Asus and Sager laptops, so you can pick exactly what you want and don't want and compare the features and so on.

I bought my wife's Asus G73 from them and we are happy with it.

I'm currently deciding between an Asus from xoticpc and an Alienware for my next laptop. Alienware's a bunch overpriced.. but pretty lights!! LOL.
