About to close a CD

I am about to close an old aging, low interest CD. Now I've seen about ING direct on here. Are their savings accounts supposed to be the best around? I was looking on their site and doing some research but I don't get what makes them more special than any other bank. Sure their interest rates are a bit higher but nothing spactacular. Is there something I am missing here?

Any other suggestions for about 7k to invest in?
