You will need a DVI to HDMI cable (Check monoprice.com for a nice quality cheap one)

Sound will have to be routed separately, I havent seen the new TX model, but some TV's have either a L/R connector or mini input for one of the HDMI inputs to bypass the lack of sound from DVI.

Overall your better option IMO is to get a decent sound system with your TV and keep audio and video separate. Then not having HDMI audio wont be much of an issue. The Onkyo HT-590S is a pretty good system that can be found for ~250 bucks and will satisfy most anyone (though not audiophiles).

Check avsforum.com out for more detailed discussions on panels, audio, video, HTPC's and whatnot.

yeah, if you look online, the TV does in fact have some basic audio inputs, so you can just plug in your standard L/R adaptor to the TV if you want. Since I'm sure the TV only has stereo speakers on it, you really don't need anything more fancy than basic L/R if you want to use the integrated speakers.

But I agree with krotchy - if your spending all that money on a nice TV, i would shell out a bit extra and just buy a nice set of speakers, and you can bypass the whole issue. Personally I think the audio capabilities of HDMI are really only useful when connecting a device to a receiver - hooking it up directly to a high-end TV seems kinda pointless considering you'll be watching a beautiful 1080p picture accompanied by crappy pair of 5-watt stereo speakers.
