I have a 6870 now that maxes out BF3 but the card has **** drivers and it is damaged at this point so I want to stick with Nvidia this time, and eVGA for their sick warranty program.
I'm about to buy a GTX 570 1580MB for $295.. is this a good purchase? For future proofing as well? I have a big enough case and adequate cooling, and I don't want overkill..
The only issue I can think of is the VRAM.. I play at 1080p so I heard 2gb would be better.
I only plan on playing BF3 and Diablo 3 (if it lives up to my expectations) at 1080p.. I can afford a 580 but I just feel like it's overkill, the 570 seems like a good compromise? I want to stay as far away from AMD as possible this time.
