The time has come! The old board/CPU is gone and I'll be picking up a new board + duron....

Now.... which ones do you suggest?
Stability and price are important factors...

Will also be adding PC-133 RAM.

i would get your self a nice duron.... if the price is right but...
a t-bird is really nice ,as well

its all up to you . anandtech has some mobo reviews. i like the Asus a7v133 but its not cheap🙂
if you want a nice affordable system. i would look into a MSI board, or a Iwillk266

I own an A7V133, great board, pricey though. If you want good price performance, go with the Iwill KK266. If you are really strapped for cash, and want some stability, go with the MSI. As for the cpu, I'd go with a Duron 700-800 and OC it to close to or over 1ghz.

Epox EP-8KTA3 @ $114 and ATI Radeon LE @ $77 both shipped from Newegg.com. Add a 800 Duron @ $71 shipped from TCWO.com and you have the basis of a great system that is has higher end performance. Mine runs at 1 Ghz with no problems, very stable.

I agree the Iwill board is the best bet. Also the Duron 750mhz is the best bang for the buck. It should get close to 1 Ghz and you can adjust the default multipler down if need to boot. READ the article above. It is a must.
