This item.

I found about this item when researching routers to get PS3 online, and this product claims it'll turn my PC into a wireless router to where I won't need any extra routers or anything like that.
Is this a good product, and will I be able to play games online without disconnects or a ton of lag?

Plus, will I need anything else if all I have now is a wired, one-ethernet port modem with the ethernet connected to the PC?

You only need one wireless router to get the PS3 online (as it has built in Wifi, so no need to bridge two routers and use the other for its wired network connection). At $35, why not just buy a Linksys WRT54G, slap DD-WRT (or just run the default software) and get the benefits of a firewall as well. The WRT54G can be had for around the price of the item you linked (or less).

Wireless routers include wired ports so you can connect the modem and the PC to one with cables, then have the PS3 connect with wifi.

So I just need to get a wireless router and an ethernet cable to connect the PC and the modem to it, and then I'll be set, right?

Will the IP address routing and all that be automatic or will I have to configure that manually?

The router can be set up with DHCP.

That product would work, but it would be easier as others have said to just get a router. Not much different in cost.
