About the HSPC tech station

I know it isn't a popular thing around ATOT. I'm actually quite interested in getting one because I notice myself opening up my case on a more frequent basis, ranging from cleaning dusts, upgrading parts, changing hsf and tweaking here and there. Is the HSPC a good buy, if money wasn't a factor?

It's decent for a testing station where you plan to make a living from using it, but anyone can build similar for a lot less. In any case, an individual is responsible for limiting EMI/RFI emissions from his system such that it doesn't interfere with a neighbor's or his own other equipment. That type of testing station provides little assistance in that regard. Wouldn't want the FCC truck to pull up into your driveway...

I wouldn't get it. How many times can you change your video card and HSF in a year? There is also not much to modify on the hardware itself. With a HSPC you will get more dust, the sound will not be isolated, and ther is no protection. The last thing you want is for a drink to be spilled on your mobo.

motherboard box is your test station... nuff said
either that. or find a lianli slide out mobo tray
those work wonders also,, as you can screw in expansion cards so you have no fear of the connectors breaking
