? about SetiQ

Because of the problems with bandwidth and OK's proxy, I setup my own Q last night on one of my home rigs. It is behind a Linksys router and using Cable for a connection to the 'net. I set it up with a static IP on the home network, and enabled port 5517 through the router. All of my rigs at home have been accessing it for WU's, and it appears to be working just fine, at home.

The problem that I am having is now that I am at work, I am unable to get my work computers to transmit/receive any WU's from my home Q. I am able to access the Q with a browser and look at the stats, etc. Is there something I need to enable or disable on the Q?

Thanks, guys!

BTW, I was only able to get 14 WU's from Berkeley all night long.....

Does SetiQ recognise that the work computers are trying to connect, and noting it in the logs?

Because when i was at the LAN party yesterday, i tried to put Seti back on my computer (had to reinstall windoze the night before), and it wouldn't do it cos SetiQ had to do a passthrough to Berkeley.

Maybe the Q is trying to do a passthrough and can't connect?

If that's the case, the best thing is to take a copy of your user_info.sah file and place it in the directories to start with 🙂

No, it is not showing up in the logs. And it IS trying to get through to Berkeley.

Thanks Confused, I will try that when I get home tonight.

What's your Seti email address and an address i can send a user_info.sah file to, and i'll try to connect and and get the user_info file for you, then you can try again 🙂
