About Nvidia's Geforce 6150 chipset

Have a question about the power of Nvidia's Geforce 6150 on-board graphics chipset: what generation of Nvidia graphics card would the performance of the 6150 be equal to? Geforce 256, Geforce2, Geforce3, Geforce4? I have an old PC which my child uses, it has a Nvidia TNT2 Ultra card, and I'm looking to upgrade the entire PC; obviously, the new PC won't need a powerful graphics card as the games it will be running will be junior grade stuff. Modern integrated on-board graphics should be sufficient to run children's games?

It's definately 100 times better than a TNT2 Ultra. The geforce 6150 plays toontown fairly well if you know what toontown is.

Hard to say, probably somewhere in GF3 GF4 territory but with DX9 support.

I built a SFF for a friend with a QPack, MSI 6150 board, 2x512 MB, and opteron 148 and I could play UT2004 at 1024x768 and it was pretty smooth.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping the 6150 would be a quantum leap from TNT2 Ultra graphics, so sounds as if it would be ideal for the use I intend for it. From some of the 6150 board reviews I've read, they come mostly in micro-ATX trim so I can use smaller cases which will be a big plus as well.

My take on this (could be wrong) is that based on the published specs and naming designation, it is like a Geforce 6200TC but with only 2 pipelines and slower clock speeds.

I have a GeForce 6100 chipset (50 MHz slower than GF 6150 chipset) in my non-gaming, word/Internet-only PC paired with a Sempron 2600+ OCed to 2.2 GHz. It scored 5032 3DMarks in 3DMark2001 on default settings. If I recall correctly, my Celeron 1.4 GHz & GeForce 3 Ti 500 rig back in 2002 scored around ~5600-5700 3DMarks, while my old Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop (P4-M 2.0 GHz & GeForce 440 Go) scored about ~5200-5400 3DMarks.
