About my "who is the most worthless poster" poll...

I got a PM from a mod the other day that I might be put on vacation for my poll. If they feel that I need a vacation for my poll than that's fine, but I'd like to state in my defense that...

1) I didn't really think that I was personally attacking anyone. I even put my name in the poll. I only made the poll as a joke and I wasn't looking to ridicule anyone.

2) I didn't know that posting these types of polls weren't allowed. Is this mentioned anywhere in the terms and conditions form when you click on that small agreement box?

3) Me and the other people that I included in the poll are ridiculed all the time. The user So and other forum members harass me quite often. I made a topic on how Aids has passed the 1 million mark in America and the first person to say anything is So. He states

God you're dumb...thank god for that ass

Doesn't this count as a personal attack on me?

We'll that's it. As I stated earlier I didn't realize that I was attacking anyone and I'd like to say, "I'm sorry" to anyone that I might have offended.

It may not be so much you as the fact that as votes are tallied, others may become offended.

It was though a lack of common sense and courtesy to create such a poll.

You were setting up people for disrespect by requesting/encouraging negative opinions and/or comments.

Sorry So I don't watch the family guy. How am I to know that it was a quote form a tv show if I don't watch it? It's not really a big deal.

You've been here just as long as I have, with a similar amount of posts. Did you miss all the times the Mods locked threads *exactly* like that in the past?

Most of the rules here are pretty common sense. If you get nailed for violating one it's really your own fault. Maybe instead of saying "Well nobody told me so I shouldn't be punished" you should think "Yeah, perhaps that wasn't the best move I could have made. Oh well."

This isn't a court of law. Rules don't have to be written down to be enforceable. The Mods said it best: Missing unwritten rules are a bannable offense! They aren't perma-banning you. It's just (maybe) a few days.

Take your lumps and now you'll know better next time.
