Prices are coming down but who knows for how much longer. I would say, if you find a good deal, take it. But be warned that a better deal may come out the following week. I do not know of anyway to predict the prices of LCDs over the next months or even year. I wish I could be more helpful, but I hope this does help.

Now is a reasonably good time to buy in the 20" segment, since prices have fallen pretty nicely lately. I see Newegg has good 1680x1050 and 1600x1200 LCDs for < $300 at this point.

A heuristic I use is to expect the "next size up" to move into the $250-$400 range each year - so next year, around this time, I'd expect to see 21" and 22" LCDs at those prices. You make the decision as to whether you want to wait. :)

There will always be a "better deal" tomorrow - somewhere. Anything you buy today will be obsolescent in a year. So, you buy when you can get good value for something you want (more important than need.)
