about Lance and "being weak" this year...

this wouldnt be suitable in the *OFFICIAL* Tour thread, because it's gonna stem a whole other discussion (hopefully)...

But, Lance "hasnt been doing so well" this year. (you'll understand the quotes in a sec). However, last year he acted weak and sick, and then when a turning-point stage with a few HC (hors categories) climbs came along, he blew away the competition. In a sense, he faked being sick.

Does anyone think that Lance is simply holding on and not wasting much energy, and then on Monday (Col du Tourmalet and other sick-nasty climbs), he's gonna open up and rape the competition. I honestly wouldnt put it past him. His viral infection only can help his "I'm weak" act.

Thoughts?

i doubt it. it would be a bad idea to use the same trick twice.

but heck i have been wrong before.

well he certainly doesn't look worried... and its not like he completely let ulrich go today... he's doing enough to keep the lead... probably until he picks the stage he wants to blow them all away again... at least that's what i hope he's going to do.
