About harddrive and windows xp

Will you be enable to use the windows xp w/o errors if you install on one computer and move the harddrive (which has the windows xp installed on it) to another computer for use?
 
Without errors? Maybe. Risky. Windows will want to identify all the hardware in the new system. Also will probably trigger an activation request (demand!).
