I'm curious how much of my FX5900's power comes through the extra molex connector. The reason I'm asking is because I decided to mess with my CPU again, and all of a sudden it's stable at 2.3 Ghz on 1.7 volts... before with my GF4 it wasn't even stable at 2250 on 1.750 volts. So I'm wondering... might it be because some of the load is taken off the motherboard since the FX5900 gets some power from another source? Voltage is rock solid now, it use to fluctuate. How would a GF4 Ti4600 and a GeForce FX5900's power consumption compare, and what percent of the FX5900's power comes through the AGP slot, and how much comes through the external connector.

i also got a better cpu OC going from a ti4600 to a FX5900. (+4 fsb)
the extra power connector musta really took a load off of the AGP port.

:D

Very strange... but hey, I'm not complaining =) That extra 100 Mhz will be useful =) Haven't done any long term tests, but my 3DMark2001 score went from the 15,390 you see in my profile to nearly 16,400. PCMark just went from what you see in my profile to 7066/6633/1371
