Hi All,

I'm an AT&T Wireless customer- or rather I was until they were taken over by Cingular... Anyways, Cingular will allow me to keep my old ATT calling plan (which I like very much), but if I want to get a new phone from them, they make me switch over to a Cingular calling plan (which I don't like).

I've read that maybe I can just buy a new phone off E-Bay. Is this true? How do I get it activated for use with my current calling plan? Or is there somewhere else to get phones?

Thanks! :)

You have to buy an unlocked phone and upon doing so you just stick your ATT sim card in the phone and change nothing on the billing side.

what if you don't have a sim card?

Then you probably have to pay to get it activated, check with your company. The sim card makes it easy b/c you don't even have to let anyone know..you just swap them out.

If you call and insist on getting an ATT plan it should work... that's what I did. The problem is, I have a cingular phone on the ATT network, and its impossible to download games :(
