Sometimes I think that maybe, just maybe, if Gay rights oraganizations hadn't spent 30 years shoving assless leather chaps, pink feather boas, broken wrists, and stupid ass parades in the face of the average american that the average american might not dislike us so much.

They might not even oppose gay marriage as strongly.

Even Oregon, a supporter of euthanasia (a pretty liberal concept) can't stomach gay marriage.

I don't care if people marry 37 wives, as long as all the wives freely agree to it (or vice-versa).

Gay people need to work from ground up to convince people. Not have a mayor or a court impose it on everyone. Even in SF, they didn't have a vote on it. Newsom just decided one day, and that was that. Now, if they can't even put it to a vote in SF, how do they expect the rest of the country to accept it?

i think it is a reasonable compromise

the same parts of the bible that condemn homosexuality condone polygamy, so tit for tat seems like a good compromise

sure, why not? why do people have to be such freaking sexual prudes? i wouldn't have more than one wife, but i don't see why it shouldn't be allowed.

yeah, any combo of any number of people

i don't see any reason to limit it to 2 people

a 2 person limit on marriage is just as arbitrary as requiring 1 man / 1 woman

equal protection under the law is the constitution angle on this, right?
