About ELSA Gladiac 920 GeForce3's 2D image quality...

From an article about a press confrence held here in Finland by Elsa's importer (translated my me):

<< Kaj Laaksonen of Pelit magazine asked about Geforce 3's image quality. Martin (Martin Haufschild, engineer at Elsa) told a rather surprising story. At first Geforce 3's image quality had been really, really bad. Problem had apparently been a small mistake in the board's design. This was one of the reasons why GeForce3 wasn't introduced in January as had been originally planned. According to Martin the card was redesigned, and the poor image quality problem was fixed. >>

Article's a bit vague about whether the problem is in nVidia reference board or Elsa's own GeForce 3 board.

What do you make of this? To me, the statement made by Elsa engineer confirms that something has indeed been done in GeForce 3's design to improve the poor 2D image quality which has plagued so many GeForce/GeForce2 video card brands.

well, I would sincerely hope they would do something

It would be almost comical for a company to release a $500 video card that you can't use because the image quality is so bad.
