I just purchased the ABIT IT7-Max2 v2.0 and in the bios states that my 2.66ghz is running at a temperature of 147 degrees F. I just downloaded MBM v5.2.2.0 and it says my temperature is 98 degrees F. Which 1 most likely is telling the truth? I'm running on the stock intel heatsink n fan from retail-

well since 147f would be like 64c at idle I would imagine loding it with prime95 or something should restart it or start throttling.......

Abits are reported to have readings 8-15c above actual...How did you set the sensors up in MBM??? I mean you have to pick it so how do you know it isn't the Northbridge system temp???

That temp may be correct but the same inaccurate readings of other abit boards....Look for signs of instability. heat doesn't kill the p4 volateg does...the chip will throttle or board will shutdwon before you fry this...
