Hello...

Im about to buy a new personal computer, for games, and my wish is to buy:
MB: Asus M5A88-M

Processor: FX 4170

Memory: Kingston Hyperx 1866MHz as a memory.

The question is: is this motherboard and processor compatible with those memories???

If so, i would need to O.C my MB in order to use those memories in thei usual frequency (1866)?

These 1866MHz memories worth buying? or the performance difference isnt noticeable?

😕😕

Theoretically, yes.

I note that the motherboard lists 1866 as a supported speed, but only as an overclock, which isn't quite the same thing as supporting it officially. I'm not sure what their caveats are though.
