can my comp be infected if my system dont have iis installed? and how to know if i have iis instaled?
 
Code Red can only infect IIS. What is the OS that you have ? To smiply figure out if you have IIS or any web server installed on you machine, open browser on that machine and type http://[i]machinename[/i] where machinename is your actual machine name. If you have any web server installed on you machine than you will see the default welcome page otherwise you will get an error.
 
Go into Task Manager, look for the Inetinfo.exe process -- if you find that process running (on the Processes tab), consider yourself vulnerable.
