So i want to download the latest drivers for my ATI x800 XL and when i checked the site on www.ati.com and serhed for the newest catllyst i see that in the notes it requires Service Pack 2, but then i dont have it so im wondering if 6.1 would work for me

thx alot guys and sry for my bad english

I believe they say that they recommend sp2. note that the new driver uses the catalyst control center which requires microsoft .net to be installed which= me dumping ati.

Why don't you install SP2? It's a free download. I don't understand why anyone would not have SP2 installed.

There's something about SP2 that I dont like. It just feels more bloated and more buggy. I'm also using SP1 and no problems so far.
