I got in on the deal from Buy.com this week on the 256mb stick. Now I am not sure if my computer can use it. The mother board appears to be a "M6TBA". I have a P3 450 with 3 slots available. The computer is from Quantex (RIP) and is just over a year old. I have one 64 stick and (2) sticks of 32 now. I want to pull out one of the 32's and install the 256. The manual shows a 128 stick as the largest I can use. I am hoping that is just because the 256 wasn't available at the time? I would like to find out before I open the package and THEN find out I can't use it.
Thanks in advance!

DRAM Access Time: 3.3V Unbuffered SDRAM 10ns required.
DRAM Type: 8MB/16MB/32MB/64MB/128MB DIMM Module (168pin)

According to that, I'd say no... But I'll do some more looking.

Actually, according to this link, it DOES support 256 MB DIMMS...

That's four votes for not, one vote for. It is a BX-based board, though, so it seems odd to me that it wouldn't.

Viper GTS,
Thanks for all the info!! I found some old info I printed from Quantex when I was considering purchasing the system. It claims it will support the 256 stick. I suppose I will just open it up and stick it in and see what she does. The memory should be to me on Monday or Tuesday.

Well I finally received my memory from the Buy.com deal. I decided to just load the 256 stick in and see what happened. It worked! I pulled out a 32 stick. Leaving me with a 32, 64 and the 256mb sticks. I now have 352mb. Don't know that it will make any difference but it's nice to know it is under the hood!
Thanks for all the information!
