I like detective/cop books, i like action books. Me and every other guy out there i guess; now i ain't ever been in law enforcement, so no clue how things go for them. But i do know me a thing or two about "action". Which leads me to the reason behind this thread, it being that Jeesus effin almighty, i cannot bee-lieve the things they write.. does no one, i don't know, laugh? Tell them it's, shit really? Totally not how it happens in reality?
Anyway.

If you are a writer? Or a wannabe writer?

Don't write your next novel about former or current CIA, MI5, 6 or FSB "agents" about to tackle ISIS, save the planet, or single handedly destroy half a city.... just don't.

Not until/unless you have AT THE LEAST, at the least, successfully completed a Q Course; at the very, bare minimum.

Spare us will you?
Those of us that HAVE (you fat, unfit, incapable little *self censored*) are really, really tired of reading all that horseshit people like you spew*. No other way to say it son, just the facts here.
* murdering civs all over, blackmailing, extorting, causing or plotting genocides, bad and mean white men destroying our lovely and peaceful planet, etc etc etc

Thank you and do keep the above in mind.
(rant over and sincere apologies to y'all. Unless you are a writer. If you are, goddamm, read the above)

I guess that's one way to look at it.

Except you see, when all you read is hyperbole, lies and the superficial, you tend to start having issues. Cultural, broader issues. Of the kind we very much suffer from; today, the lot of us. Issues that have consequences. But anyway, that's not a conversation i'd have in some forum..
Let us just remind ourselves that even if only occasionally, there are more qualitative ways of engrossing ourselves in whatever fantasy we deem desirable.. just like there have been writers that did accomplish the above, without resorting to 'cheap' tricks and unnecessary fanfare.

(this hurt; i'm not into tact, lol)
