Abot KD7-E Power On Question

For those familiar with the KD7-E, does the BIOS have an option to power up by KB or mouse? I am planning to give my KX7-333 to my nephew a soon as I find a replacement. It's a good board for the most part but I miss the power on by KB function that my MSI and ASUS had.

Thanks,

I have the KD7-Raid and it does (I don't remember all the devices and wake-from states, but I am sure it has a keyboard wake from suspend or power off, so I assume the KD7-E does also.

The thing is though, the KD7-E was a KT333 MoBo (IIRC) and the rest of the KD7 series is KT400.
You might try to find a d/l of the manual on the Abit site.

Duh... man do I feel st00pid.

Checked Abit and found chingos of manuals on the KD7 series but nothing specific on the 7-E. However, the 7 series manuals clearly indicated 4 power on options so I thing I'll give it a shot.

I am looking for a clean and stable 333 no-frills board. This one looks like it will fill the bill, plus it is dirt cheap at Mwave. Think I'll pass on the NF series for now. I bought 2X512 sticks of Crucial 2700 not more than a week before I found tons of threads on the Crucial\NF problem.

Yeah, I had too much to replace if I did an NF7-S.... I also have the wonder sticks of crucial and I need to raid my HDs or else replace them....

That's how I ended up on the KD7-Raid

FWIW, I like the board a lot. Typical ABit / Softmenu III experience. Easy to set it up, no major surprises.

I did build a machine with a KD7-E in it for a friend. It was a breeze to set up too.

That's what I am looking for. I had a love-hate relationship with the KX7-333 that I am using now. Hated it until I did flushed out the old drivers with a clean install. Also flashed the BIOS, and since then it's been a great board. I looked at the NF2's and many of the other boards with LAN, 1394, etc., but I have a stack of LAN cards and no need for OB sound or the other goodies. Just wanted a solid board that would perform. I hope the new Abit works out well. Mwave had it dirt cheap compared to Newegg. I just ordered it and it was around $73 with 2Day shipping.

Thanks!

***Edit***
Just checked your rig specs and I see we have many of the same parts: PF790, 1024 Crucial, HP9110i, 80g WD Special Ed, HP Scanner, Altec Lansing. My specs change since I sometimes swap parts around between the PCs that I have here.
