I don't feel thAT abortion laws are about religion, morals, or abortion for that matter. I feel the biggest issue with this IS WHETHER OR NOT THE GOVERNMENT HAS THE RIGHT TO TELL WOMAN WHAT TO DO WITH THEIR BODIES. I mean come on, even if you're the biggest conservative in the world would you want the government telling what you can do with your body. This country is founded on truths and unalienable rights. Now with this great freedoms are some downfalls but we live with it. We have free speech, this is why I am typing this right now. We also have porn magazines degrading young women. Now I don't see congress banning porn mags, and there is one simple reason, that would be a violation of free speech and wouild beging the downfall of our freedoms. Abortion laws follow that same precedant. First the government tells mothers what to do with their bodies. Next we are all being told what to do. If you give the government an inch, they will take a mile.
To sum it up. By being against abortion laws you are not condoning abortion. What ou are condoning is that we are free individuals and the government will not control are lives.
Pick up a copy of Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. Read it, think about it.
