Okay, here goes. I have two computers. One a desktop, I'll call it "A", and a laptop, I'll call it "B". I have them networked through the use of a Netgear FA311 NIC in comp A, and a Linksys Network Everywhere PCMCIA PC card in comp B. I can almost do everything between the two computers. The problem occurs when I attempt to access the laptop from my desktop. The weird thing is that it works scott-free vice-versa. I can see everything that is shared on my desktop when I access it from my laptop. Another strange thing is that I have no trouble pinging my laptop from the desktop. I get a perfect response everytime. Hell, I can even see my laptop when I open Network Neighborhood on my desktop. The problem occurs when I double-click the laptop to browse it. My desktop hangs for a while without even opening the Laptop. Then pretty much everything freezes until I Ctrl-Alt-Del to close Network Neighborhoods. Can anyone help me out??

First dumb question.. You DO have file/print sharing enabled on the desktop, right? If nothing is shared a computer won't show up in network neighborhood.

For your home LAN you might as well stick with NetBeui - It doesn't have many of the name resolution (WINS/DNS) issues found with IP. Install NetBeui, reboot, go to it's advanced tab and check "make this the default protocol". Reboot and life should be good.
