Share quite a few core components with IP35 Pro. There's a new power module section. The top model uses separate cooler for NB, SB, and MOSFETs as it should be. Expect noise level to go up with those smaller high speed fans. It appears that X38 will be a very HOT chip (big heat slug).

MSRP should be in the $200 to $250.

If I go intel that's the board to get. Tigerforce sounds like Power rangers! :p

The IX38 QuadGT looks really good but you'll need ear-plugs for the IX38-MAX

*Drool* looks like the QuadGT will be my next purchase cant wait to see what it can do :) Something I found really cool from the article was this:

'(The QuadGT) Like the Tiger Force, it included five power phases which may not sound like a lot but each phase is rated at 1MHz whereas most of the competition is only at 250KHz. So while some companies may have 12 phases total (3000KHz), ABIT is able to produce 5000KHz with fewer components.'

maybe I should have waited for the X38 chipset rather than getting a IP35-E

Not much option when working with a HOT chipset. Heat pipe is effective at extracting heat from the source, but it also requires active cooling to remove heat from the cooler.

If you go over to XS people are applauding abit for not fitting heatpipe coolers but going active so it all depends upon your point of view.
Of course abit gives you the choice with the passively cooled QuadGT or the all out MAX for the enthusiast.
