ABIT Computer Corp will soon introduce a new graphics card powered by Geforce4 Ti4200 GPU. Although the card has 3.6ns memory on board, its revolutionary cooling system will ensure this will be one of if not the fastest Geforce4 Ti4200 yet. Read More for more info.

UPDATE: We now have first exclusive pictures of the new card. To see them - Read More...

OTES stands for Outside Thermal Exhaust System. It is ABIT?s new and patent pending VGA Cooling system.

ABIT claim it will be able to lower temperatures by around 15% comparing to standard cooling system. This includes GPU temperatures only I belive. The fan on the GPU is spinning @ 7200rpm!

ABIT believes their new Geforce4 TI4200 will be able to offer TI4600 performance because of the overclocking possibilities. That means you'll be getting Geforce4 Ti4600 performance at the price of Ti4200 card!

Not much is known about the OTES cooling system at this stage because its yet to be announced officially. It is set to be launched in September. If you were thinking about getting Geforce4 card soon, maybe you should wait for their announcement. It could be worh it 😉

7200RPM screamer ... occupies two slots. This is a real monster. But I still wonder how efficient it is when cooling down the memory. Anyway, this could be the card to brag about! 😉

Doesnt it cost more $$ to make a card like that in the first place? With the 3.6ns ram and the cooling setup.

Finally Abit get's off their @sses and does something to distinguish themselves. Looks pretty kewl, and should be popular with enthusiasts who never use PCI1 anyway 🙂

My only concern is... will it be more effective than just having a good heatsink/fan combo in a well ventalated case. I.e, I doubt this will allow the card to overclock "higher" than other cards (which are cooled properly), but it will probably allow Abit to sell cards with (substantial) guaranteed overclocks.

Man, this doesn't help me out! I liked buying ABit cards because they were cheaper than their competitors cards, but came with all of the standard features. Now that they're adding all this fancy overclocking crap, they're probably going to be charging $20 more than everyone else. 🙁
