Just sold some stuff. It's around $330 at newegg refurbished. Is it alright to get this refurbished? I was just looking at x800 xl's, but i figure I can jump on a pro.
Go to best buy, you can get BBA X800XL for $349. It's a much better card and I know first hand. I had (and loved) an X800 Pro. I now have an X800XL and I don't even have to overclock it to get the same or better performance as I did with my highly overclocked Pro.
I dunno why they keep saying that. I found plenty of x800xl's. I just don't know whether or not I should spew the extra few bucks for the pro. I hear certain models of the pro can even be flashed to the XT. Anyone else?
Edit: Btw, the only x800's I ever see at best buy are the pci-e's(i don't know why that is).
There are certain Pro cards that can flash to XT, but they have to be ViVo models. And I've heard that later cards don't flash like the earlier ones did. YMMV in that area.
And Best Buy's stocking of AGP X800XL cards is spotty. I had to go to 4 local stores to get mine. It's worth the effort though and it's a better card than a Pro. It comes with all 16 pipes open by default and it is plenty fast. I love mine.
