Abit VP6 Known problems?

I have a Abit VP6 with 2x box intel 1000x133 chips, 2x 512simms and a western digital
45g hard drive, I have had so much trouble installing win2k on there, it is not even funny
Has anyone heard any problems with this board and WD hard drives or 2k problems?
